value of a child’s life. Kracov also spent four years working on his tribute to those whose lives were lost during 9/11. The metal wall sculpture depicts a New York City Skyline and, where the two towners once stood, now a stream of Kracov’s coloured butterflies rise soaring into the sky.
In his own words, the artist states that, “Who I am defines what I create, and what I create is the definition of who I am”. To these eyes, The Book of Life reveals an artist whose vision is to bring colour and light to places and lives sometimes caste in shadow.
